The USSPA received a 2-member delegation from Shenzhen Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, headed by Ms. Zheng Yanlin, General Secretary (Center) to discuss possible cooperation in the upcoming China (Shenzhen) International Logistics Fair (CILF). A luncheon was hosted for the delegation at Fat Angelo¡¦s Italian Restaurant after the meeting. Six members attended the meeting and luncheon.

The USSPA received a 5-member delegation from Xiamen Municipal Trade Development Bureau, headed by Mr. Yao Muzhong, Deputy Director General to discuss possible cooperation in the 13th CIFIT International Logistics Fair which will be held on Sept. 8th-11th, 2009.

Mr. Alex Fong, CEO of Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) hosted a luncheon reception for USSPA at JW Marriott Hong Kong. Six members attended the event. Chamber Services Limited (CSL), a fully-owned subsidiary of the HKGCC, has been appointed New York¡¦s Empire State Trade and Investment Representative for China and Hong Kong on 22 Feb, 2008 and Miss Corina Tse, Principal Consultant will be in charge of the project. We welcome CSL to join us as a member of the USSPA Greater China.

The USSPA hosted the "Invest in USA " seminar at China International Fair
for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), held in Xiamen on September 9th 2007. This half-day program
was well attended by over 100 officials and business leaders.
Representatives from Port of Long Beach, Illinois, New Mexico, North Carolina, visa officials
from the U.S. Consulate General, Guangzhou made presentation related to business
climate, location, incentives and visas at the event.

Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Machinery & Electronic
Products in Beijing, headed by Mr. Xu Yimeng, Vice Secretary General
to discuss possible cooperation in the upcoming China Hi-Tech Fair which
will be held in Oct 2007. Mr. James Mayfield, Commercial Consul of
USFCS Hong Kong, Mr. Robert Murphy, Commercial Consul and Mr. Barry
Zhang, Senior Commercial Specialist of USFCS Guangzhou also attended
the meeting. A luncheon was hosted for the delegation at the New
Dynasty Scenic Restaurant.

Xinhua Finance attended lunch meeting with 7 USSPA members
at JW Marriott Hong Kong Mr. Joseph Chan, Head, Business Development
of Xinhua Finance also attended the meeting. The USSPA annual
election meeting was held after lunch. Edward Yau was elected
as the President, Shirley Co as Vice President/Secretary and
Salina Wong as Treasurer/Port Coordinator. Norman Li remained
as Emeritus President.

The President and members including representatives
from Illinois, North Carolina and Pennsylvania held meeting
with the China Ministry of Commerce in Beijing to discuss Vice-Premier
Wu Yi's upcoming Buying Mission to the U.S. in May 2007. Virginia,
Port of Georgia and New York and New Jersey Port Authority
also expressed interest in inviting the Chinese delegation
to their areas.

USSPA and Hong Kong Trade Development Council
co-hosted the ¡§Latest Trends of Investing & Sourcing in
the USA¡¨ seminar on 30 November 2006. It was well received
by over 200 attendees with 160 companies registered. The participating
8 states include, Arizona, Illinois, Mississippi, Missouri,
New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia. The event was
supported by Port of New Jersey & New York, and Port of
Long Beach. A networking reception sponsored by State of Virginia
was held after the seminar.

The Association participated at the World
SME Expo 2006 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition
Centre from 29 November, 2006 to 1 December, 2006. USSPA and
members¡¦ materials and publications were on display at the
USA pavilion. USSPA also hosted a networking
reception at Ocean Blue Grills & Bar for participating States
and local economic development agencies.
