We are very pleased to announce that Mr. Norman L. Li of the State of Illinois, Southeast Asia Office has been re-elected as the President of the United States States & Ports Association in Hong Kong in our recent general meeting. Also re-elected are Ms. Shirley Co. of the State of Ohio, Office of East & Southeast Asia, and Mr. Edward Yau of the Port of Long Beach Representative Office in Hong Kong as the Vice President and the Treasurer/Port Coordinator of the Association. The
U.S. States & Ports Association was officially established in
October 1989 in Hong Kong for the purpose of promoting trade development,
investment and to increase business activities between the United
States, Hong Kong, China and South-East Asia. The Association also
provides a forum to promote the interest and views of its members.
Members of the Association has a total economic output of over US$4,000 billion representing about 50% of the U.S. Gross Domestic Products. The U.S.S.P.A. hopes that companies in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Southeast Asia region will turn to the Association or its individual members when pursuing trade, investment, tourism and transportation ventures in the United States.
